Welcome to Angel Mission

We are a nonprofit organization that tries to make a difference by offering financial support for equine therapy and natural recovery techniques.

Whether you're a child in need of emotional support, an adult seeking personal growth, a veteran coping with the aftermath of service, or someone facing physical challenges, we believe in the transformative power of equine therapy.

Through our programs, we aim to create a welcoming space where individuals from all walks of life can find healing.

Why Equine Therapy

Our Equine Therapy Program offers a personalized approach to healing, learning, and personal growth through interactions with horses. With a range of therapeutic options tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients, we provide a nurturing environment where individuals can thrive and connect with these gentle creatures.

We understand that each individual has unique needs and goals, which is why our program offers different variations of equine therapy. Whether you seek emotional healing, personal development, or simply enjoy being around horses, we have something for everyone.

Equine-Assisted Learning

Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) is an experiential learning approach that uses interactions with horses to promote personal growth and skill development. Participants engage in activities that require problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, benefiting from the horses' ability to reflect human emotions and behaviors. This dynamic process helps individuals develop essential life skills such as leadership, empathy, and emotional regulation in a supportive environment.

Interactive Equine Care

Interacting with horses offers profound therapeutic benefits, including emotional regulation, stress reduction, and enhanced self-awareness. Horses provide immediate feedback that helps individuals recognize and manage their feelings. The trust and patience needed to bond with a horse can boost confidence and self-esteem, while the physical activities involved contribute to overall physical well-being. Interactive Equine Care offers individuals the opportunity to learn the essentials of horse care in a hands-on and therapeutic setting. Whether you're passionate about horses or seeking a calming escape from everyday life, this program provides a rewarding and educational experience.

Hippotherapy

Hippotherapy is a therapeutic treatment that uses the movement of a horse to improve the physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities of individuals with disabilities. Under the guidance of a licensed therapist, the rhythmic and repetitive motion of the horse helps to enhance balance, strength, coordination, and motor skills. It is often used to assist those with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, and developmental delays, providing a unique and effective approach to rehabilitation and therapy.

Benefits of Equine Therapy

Emotional Wellbeing

Improved Communication

Enhanced Self-esteem & Self-Awareness

Horses promote a sense of calm, reduce stress, and enhance overall mood. Interacting with horses can aid in the development and improvement of emotional regulation skills as well as increase self-confidence, and manage anxiety and depression.

Horses provide non-judgmental companionship, which can promote the development of effective communication skills. Working with horses requires clear and consistent communication, encouraging you to express yourself assertively.

Accomplishing tasks and building a connection with a horse can promote a sense of achievement and self-worth. Horses also act as a mirror, reflecting your emotions and behaviors, leading to greater self-awareness.

Trust and Relationship Building

Physical Benefits

Stress Reduction & Relaxation

Building a relationship with a horse requires trust and mutual respect. The bond formed with a horse can translate into improved relationships in other areas of life.

Riding Horses and engaging in ground-based activities with horses help improve balance, coordination, and strengthen muscles and overall motor skills. These activities can be especially beneficial for individuals with physical disabilities.

The rhythmic motion of riding horses can have a calming effect, while the peaceful surroundings of nature contribute to a sense of serenity.

Social Skills & Empathy

Equine learning often involves group activities or working in pairs, fostering social interaction and teamwork. Collaborating with others to accomplish tasks with horses promotes social skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Coping Skills & Resilience

Horses provide opportunities for problem-solving, adaptability, and overcoming obstacles. These skills can be applied to other areas of life, helping you navigate difficulties with greater resilience.
